About the RoleManage our employees' Leave of Absence requests, interpret policies, review medical certs, authorize requests, track data, and coordinate their returns. This is a hybrid role with both in-office and remote days each week.

Key ResponsibilitiesInterpret and apply leave policies in accordance with organizational guidelines and legal requirementsReview medical certifications and Leave of Absence (LOA) forms to determine eligibility and duration of leaveCalculate and assess leave durations, ensuring accuracy and complianceAuthorize all LOA requests and maintain records in the systemCoordinate employee returns, collaborating with various teams to ensure a smooth transition back to workProvide outstanding customer service to our employees and their leadersPrepare and maintain detailed reports on leave activitiesRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred)3 years of experience in a Human Resources role with a focus on Leaves of Absence (5+ years preferred)Strong knowledge of federal and state leave laws, including FMLA and CFRAExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to technically interpret and apply policies and proceduresProficient in using HRIS systems, preferably PeopleSoft and/or WorkdayEffective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teamsStrong analytical skills to determine eligibility and duration of leave accuratelyWhy Join Us?

The current salary range for this position is $28.09 to $38.62
Rady Children’s Hospital is committed to compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable.
