Leave Administrator
Description We are looking for a skilled Leave Administrator to oversee and manage all aspects of employee leave within our organization. This contract position requires expertise in handling leave requests, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and maintaining clear communication with employees and managers. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to supporting employees during their leave processes. Responsibilities: • Administer various types of employee leave, including FMLA, Paid Family Medical Leave, and OSHA-related leave, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. • Evaluate leave requests to determine eligibility based on company policies and legal requirements. • Track and manage leave timelines, providing timely responses and updates to employees and managers. • Maintain accurate records of leave requests, medical certifications, and employee communications. • Communicate leave policies, eligibility criteria, and status updates to employees and managers in a thorough and empathetic manner. • Stay informed about changes in federal, state, and local leave laws to ensure compliance in all leave-related processes. • Utilize Paycom or similar HR systems to manage leave administration tasks effectively. • Handle leave cases across multiple states, applying knowledge of state-specific leave laws and regulations. • Provide training and guidance to managers on leave policies and best practices as needed. • Independently make decisions regarding leave eligibility and timelines while collaborating with relevant stakeholders when necessary. Requirements • Proven experience in leave administration or a related human resources function. • Strong understanding of leave compliance laws, including FMLA and state-specific regulations. • Proficiency with HR systems such as Paycom, ADP Workforce Now, or similar platforms. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex policies clearly and compassionately. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple leave cases effectively. • Demonstrated ability to work independently and make informed decisions related to leave management. • Familiarity with employee relations and benefits functions, particularly as they relate to leave administration. • Willingness to adapt to evolving laws, regulations, and company policies related to employee leave.
