Position Overview:The Entry‑Level Leasing Representative supports the Real Estate team in executing the company’s store growth and portfolio strategy. This role is responsible for identifying, negotiating, and securing lease opportunities for retail locations within assigned territory. The responsibilities include researching markets, preparing lease materials, coordinating internal processes. This role also oversees and manages lease actions in assigned territory through lease renewal negotiations ensuring they meet internal pro-forma hurdle guidelines.
This is an ideal role for someone early in their real estate or business career who is eager to learn retail leasing, build strong analytical and communication skills, and develop deep understanding of site selection and portfolio management.
Core Responsibilities
Lease Negotiation and Execution
Prepare LOI’s for renewals, relocations, and new store opportunities within assigned territory.Support the creation of Real Estate Committee packages, financial summaries, maps, and deal tracking documents.Manage critical dates of existing portfolio within assigned territory.Work with operations to ensure alignment on all deals.Market Research
Conduct market research using mapping tools, demographic data, and traveling markets.Gather field partnership insights to ensure strategy is aligned.Monitor retail market trends, new developments and redevelopments of centers.Support site evaluation by reviewing photos, co‑tenancy details, and center characteristics.Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner with Legal, Store Planning, Construction, and Lease Accounting by providing data, documentation, and updates.Help coordinate communication related to lease actions, upcoming deadlines, and project status.Support the Real Estate Analytics team in preparing presentations, reports, and updates for leadership.Landlord & Broker Interaction
Support relationship‑building through professional correspondence with landlords and networking by attending industry conventions.Manage broker network to ensure site selection and relocation goals are met.Skills & Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, Marketing, or related field preferred.Equivalent experience or internship background will be considered.
Experience
0–2 years of experience in real estate, leasing, property management, retail operations, analytics, or related field.Internship experience in commercial real estate, retail, finance, or brokerage is a plus – but not required.Skills & Competencies
Strong interest in retail real estate and willingness to learn lease negotiation fundamentals.Basic understanding of financial analysis or a willingness to learn (training provided).Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.High attention to detail, organization, and follow‑through.Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with mapping tools or real estate systems is beneficial but not required.Travel Requirements
