The Lease Payment Analyst will be responsible for managing and accounting for the company's leasing activities. This role requires a detail-oriented and analytical professional with a thorough understanding of lease accounting standards and practices. The ideal candidate will have experience in lease accounting preferably, strong technical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments. WAG Values Leads with respect, integrity, and accountability Treats others with empathy and respect Exemplifies and role models behavior associated with WAG values Partners with team to focus on solutions Finds a way to say yes ROLE SPECIFIC TASKS Review lease payment schedules, invoices, and terms for accuracy and compliance. Enter and maintain lease payment information in the lease management system. Ensure timely processing and payment of lease obligations to vendors. Record lease payments accurately in accordance with accounting policies and standards. Monitor and update vendor banking information and payment method changes. Track and document vendor changes and lease modifications. Add new leases payments and update existing lease payments in the leasing system. Coordinate and communicate with hospitals and departments to gather and verify lease data. Reconcile monthly lease payments to the general ledger and accounting system. Support audits by providing required documentation and explanations. Identify and suggest process improvements to streamline lease payment operations. Support, exposure and leadership of other special projects as assigned by lease manager. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or a related field 1-2 years’ experience in account payable, lease accounting or audit preferred Experience working in retail or healthcare industry preferred Experience with real estate leases, preferred Multi-tasking skills and the ability to change priorities/duties are a must Must possess attention to detail and strong organizational skills Experience with ERP and lease management systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, LeaseQuery, CoStar) preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reconciliation techniques.
