We are seeking a skilled Lease Operator to join our team in Big Lake, Texas for a 1-year contract with the potential for extension. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a large project and utilize your expertise in new facilities startup and operations.

Role Overview

Responsible for safe and efficient operations, monitoring, and maintenance preparation of wells, processing units, and related facilities. Primary contact for facility operations, understanding process flow, chemistry, safety equipment, and reviewing computer data to optimize processes. Physically inspect and monitor equipment and work area using senses to ensure correct operation. Issue Safe Work Permits and perform gas testing to ensure safe conditions for maintenance activities. Monitor process activities such as gauge tanks, meters, product samples, and chemical injection rates. Perform visual maintenance by checking critical parameters and adjusting process parameters to maintain product specifications. Coordinate oil sales and salt water hauling as necessary. Maintain accurate gauge sheets and communicate with Production Foreman to stay informed of process conditions. Participate in continuous improvement of business processes and adhere to environmental policies and procedures. Perform basic equipment maintenance and inspect safety equipment. Support team effort to meet business objectives.

Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma required. 15+ years of relevant work experience. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team. Effective communication skills. High level of personal initiative and commitment to improving business results. Willingness to work rotating shifts and be available for call outs. Ability to interact effectively in a multi-cultural environment. Experience maintaining, operating, and repairing surface equipment associated with Oil & Gas production. Excellent computer skills with strong written and oral communication abilities. Physical ability to lift > 50 lbs and climb ladders/stairways. Familiarity with Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and other safety detectors/equipment.

Education & Experience

High School Diploma required. 15+ years of relevant work experience.
