Job Type: W2 contract
Duration: Long-term contract (1-year assignment with possibility of extension/becoming permanent)
Work schedule: 9/5 rotation - From 6:30 am to 5:00 pm (overtime if needed)
MAIN FUNCTIONS
Seeking professionals to oversee safe and efficient operations of wells and processing units, with a strong focus on oil, gas, and water separation. This is a large-scale project involving facility startup, operational tools, procedures, permitting, and training. Prior experience in new facility startups is highly valued.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Act as primary operations contact; understand process flow and unit chemistry Ensure personal and team safety; follow and enforce safety protocols Monitor equipment and work areas using sensory inspection Issue Safe Work Permits and perform gas testing for maintenance safety Conduct process monitoring: tank gauging, meter reading, leak checks, etc. Perform visual maintenance and adjust process parameters as needed Maintain company vehicle and coordinate oil sales and water hauling Keep accurate production records and note changes Check valve positions and perform basic equipment maintenance Communicate with Production Foreman on process conditions Prepare equipment for seasonal efficiency (winterization/summerization) Use electronic and computer monitoring tools for field equipment Inspect safety gear and participate in safety checks Support continuous improvement initiatives Follow environmental policies and minimize operational impact Adhere to working rules and pursue ongoing skill development Demonstrate reliable attendance and contribute to team goals
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma required; college or trade certification preferred Prior experience in a similar operational role Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills Willingness to work rotating shifts and be available for call-outs Comfortable working in multicultural environments Skilled in operating, maintaining, and repairing oil & gas surface equipment Strong computer literacy and communication skills (written & oral) Physically capable of lifting over 50 lbs and climbing ladders/stairs
