The role ensures all training initiatives are strategically aligned to Marriott’s brand standards, service culture, and business priorities. Acting as a subject-matter expert and trusted advisor to leaders, this role identifies capability gaps, translates operational and associates' needs into impactful learning solutions, and measures training effectiveness to ensure a return on investment. Training programs span brand service, leadership development, compliance, functional capability, and talent pipeline initiatives. As an Individual Contributor, the L&D Manager is expected to demonstrate leadership through influence, collaboration, and personal accountability, while embodying Marriott’s Enterprise Leadership Behaviours: Curious, Courageous, Connected. Additionally, the L&D Manager serves as a custodian of the company culture and is required to attend events and activities outside of regular business hours. **Candidate Profile:** **Essential** • Bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Education, Business, Hospitality, or related discipline OR • Equivalent experience in Learning & Development within a hospitality or customer-centric environment preferred • Certificate IV or Diploma in Training & Assessment (TAE) • Experience delivering leadership and service-based training • Familiarity with Marriott learning systems (e.g. DLZ) **Experience** • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in Training / Learning & Development, ideally within hospitality • Demonstrated experience in: o Training facilitation and program design o Leadership and capability development o Compliance training management o Training needs analysis and evaluation **Skills & Attributes** • Strong facilitation, influencing, and presentation skills • Ability to engage diverse operational audiences • Strong organisational and project management capability • Analytical approach to measuring learning impact • High level of professionalism, energy, and adaptability • Strong alignment with Marriott culture and values _At Marriott International, we are dedicated to being an equal opportunity employer, welcoming all and providing access to opportunity.
