How You Will Make an Impact
Define and configure learning projects to support defined training objectives
Script interactive learning conversations using branching logic
Design immersive virtual scenes that set the stage for XR (Extended Reality) experiences
Animate performances and emotional behaviors for virtual human characters
Publish XR learning modules for VR (Virtual Reality) and desktop platforms
Collaborate across cross‑functional teams such as instructional design, engineering, and clinical experts
Apply UX, usability, and learning design best practices to ensure high‑quality experiences
Maintain standards for quality, accessibility, and learning effectiveness, ensuring strong ROI for immersive training
What You’ll Need (Required Qualifications)
Enrollment in an accredited bachelor’s or master’s program at a 4‑year institution
Good academic standing (GPA 3.0+ or equivalent)
Availability to participate in a full‑time internship for at least 10 weeks during the summer
U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required; some exceptions will apply.
No requirement for visa sponsorship now or in the future
Experience in a medical device, healthcare, or related environment preferred but not required
What We’re Looking For (Preferred Qualifications)
Instructional Design & Technology, Learning Sciences, or related major is a plus
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building abilities
Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills
Experience with the Talespin application or VR headsets is a plus
Background in graphic or visual design
Familiarity with quality‑related policies, procedures, or guidelines (including GDP)
High attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work
Ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all organizational levels
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Professionalism, accountability, and a strong team‑oriented mindset

For California, the base pay range for this position is $54,000.00 to $72,000.00 (highly experienced). The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
