What you’ll be doing
As part of the Business Client Centre’s Learning and Design team, you’ll help empower our Commercial Banking professionals to deliver exceptional client experiences. As a Learning Consultant, you’ll assess knowledge and skill gaps, and design engaging, effective training programs tailored to the needs of a diverse audience. You’ll collaborate with business leaders, subject matter experts, and project teams to ensure learning solutions align with business priorities and drive performance improvement. You’ll facilitate a variety of learning experiences, maintain and update training resources, and support the successful rollout of new processes and technologies. You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement by leveraging feedback and industry best practices to refine our training approach.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you’ll succeed
Assess needs and recommend solutions – Conduct training needs assessments to identify knowledge, skill, and performance gaps. Use data, research, and stakeholder feedback to recommend targeted learning solutions.Design and deliver engaging learning – Develop, update, and facilitate training programs using a range of delivery methods, including instructor-led sessions, e-learning, workshops, and blended learning approaches.Collaborate for impact – Work closely with business leaders, subject matter experts, and project teams to ensure learning initiatives are aligned with business objectives and support organizational change.Drive continuous improvement – Gather feedback from learners and stakeholders, participate in post-implementation reviews, and contribute new ideas to enhance learning effectiveness and efficiency.Maintain training resources – Ensure all training collateral, job aids, and procedures are accurate, up-to-date, and accessible on internal platforms such as SharePoint.Support change and compliance – Stay current on regulatory requirements and business process changes, adapting learning materials and delivery as needed to ensure compliance and relevance.Who you are
You can demonstrate experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating employee training programs and managing projects. It’s an asset if you have a Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) designation.You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information.
