BASIC FUNCTION: Plan, organize and coordinate the operation of LCSSP at designated sites to ensure an efficient and effective program for identified youth; train, supervise and evaluate assigned staff; provide highly responsible assistance to the Positive School Climate Coordinator. Conduct on-site visitations to observe methods, practices and procedures; analyze effectiveness of activities and ensure compliance with laws and regulations. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE OF: Community and site resources Parent education programs Cultural diversity concepts Job-related software programs, spreadsheets, and word processing Principles and practices of training, supervision and evaluation Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy ABILITY TO: Read, write and speak English using proper syntax and grammar Understand and implement complex oral and written directions Work effectively and efficiently with minimum supervision Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of goals Interpret and apply federal, state and local policies, procedures, laws and regulations Train, supervise and evaluate the work of others Prepare and deliver oral presentations EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: High school diploma or equivalent, and two years increasingly responsible experience working with youth and community members.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: High School Diploma OR equivalent OR Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree or Higher Education Degree Valid California driver's license SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: If selected for the position, out-of-district applicants must be T.B. tested and fingerprinted. A practical skills test may be administered at the time of interview.
