Learning and Development Specialist - Trainer

You have an opportunity to personally thrive, make a difference and be part of a culture where individuality is noticed and valued every day. **Hourly Rate** **Learning and Development Specialist** **Duties and Responsibilities** + Knowledge of training processes, such as adult learning theories and instructional design principles. + Effective facilitation skills, such as ability to facilitate open discussion in a less structured environment. + Adapt delivery methods based on the audience, training objectives, and feedback to maximize training effectiveness. + Ability to work effectively in a team-based, collaborative environment. + Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify knowledge and skills gaps for each class. + Ability to analyze effectiveness of training and to independently implement, with guidance from the training supervisor, appropriate solutions without compromising instructional design and adult learning theory. + Document that status of learners and their progress during training by maintaining and keeping class training trackers up to date. + Ability to coordinate across state tasks and to interact with employees in all areas of the project. + Ability to coach others and provide performance feedback and maintain a safe and professional learning environment. + Travel within the State of Indiana **Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Requirements** + Experience working in IEDSS. + Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience as a facilitator. + Experience in facilitation/trainer role with HS diploma or GED and 2 plus years’ experience with Indiana Eligibility Public Assistance Programs. + Coaching, mentoring, or training experience. + Strong oral communication and group presentation skills. + Clear and professional written communication skills. + Knowledge of the Indiana Public Assistance Programs (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicaid, and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) policy and guidelines including IEDSS online help. + Must live in Indiana Pay Transparency Laws in some locations require disclosure of compensation and/or benefits-related information. For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive.
