**WHAT WILL I BE DOING?**
As the Learning and Development Manager for Hilton’s flagship hotel in Australasia, you will be responsible for the overall coordination and facilitation of the hotel’s training function\. You will be present within departments to ensure thorough onboarding and skills training for new and existing team members, trainings gaps are identified and resolved, and talent is being developed\. You will ensure Hilton brand trainings are effectively delivered and compliance standards met\. As a leader in the hotel, you will work closely with heads of department and senior leaders to deliver highly impactful and engaging trainings ensuring Hilton Sydney remains a Great Place to Work\.
Key responsibilities include;
·Proactively engage with managers on a monthly basis to ensure standards are being met and learning and development programs strategically designed and implemented to improve guest experience
·Be present within departments and hotel operations and determine and identify strategies to lower turnover and drive retention through learning and development activities
·Determine the yearly training needs of the hotel using team member pulse survey and annual survey feedback as well as conducting an annual training needs analysis\.
·Support individual and team development, acting as a coach, and mentor to all team members
·Organise and facilitate Hilton Brand Trainings ensuring brand compliance
·Support departments in developing leadership capabilities and achieving functional excellence
·Identify future Hilton talent by establishing and maintaining professional relationships with key source markets including Schools & Universities, ensuring Hilton Sydney is ‘front of mind’
·Partner with local and overseas schools to recruit and manage the hotels’ internship positions ensuring training contracts obligations and learning objectives are fulfilled
·Liaise with representatives from the hotels’ appointed Apprenticeship Provider and Registered Training Organisations \(RTOs\) to manage all Apprenticeships including Training Contracts and progress towards qualification
·Train and develop Departmental Trainers through on\-going workshops and monthly meetings to be able to facilitate effective and impactful trainings in their own departments
•Tertiary qualifications, or other collegiate\-level degree, in Training, Human Resources, Business, Hotel Management or related field;
•2 years experience in delivering training;
•Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a hotel environment;
•Strong organisational, administration and communication skills;
•Demonstrates positive involvement and interaction with the overall Hilton team both at an individual, team & management level\.
•A passion and enthusiasm for facilitating learning;
•Flexibility in schedule to facilitate trainings at times based on business needs
•Innovative in the delivery of training initiatives;
•Creates an environment of learning, enjoyment and involvement
