What will you do?The Lean Manufacturing Manager is responsible for leading the implementation of Lean principles and continuous improvement strategies across all production areas. This role ensures the optimization of manufacturing processes, reduction of waste, and enhancement of operational efficiency through the application of Lean tools and methodologies. The manager will drive cultural transformation, coach cross-functional teams, and ensure alignment between production and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:• Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing standards, tools, and systems across the plant or assigned site.• Lead and facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis to drive process improvements.• Design and optimize equipment layout, material flow, and workstation ergonomics to support lean operations.• Develop and monitor Lean KPIs (e.g., OEE, takt time, cycle time, lead time) and ensure continuous performance tracking.• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence through coaching, training, and mentoring.• Collaborate with engineering, quality, logistics, and production teams to ensure alignment of lean initiatives with business goals.• Lead the development and implementation of standard work, visual management, and 6S programs.• Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities and drive cost reduction initiatives.• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards while improving process efficiency.
Technical Requirements:• Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles (Kaizen, 6S, SMED, TPM, VSM, Standard Work).• Proven experience in process optimization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement.• Solid understanding of industrial engineering fundamentals and production systems.• Experience in layout design, workflow optimization, and ergonomic assessments.• Proficiency in Lean performance metrics and data-driven decision-making.• Familiarity with Six Sigma tools and methodologies is a plus.• Experience in leading cross-functional improvement projects and change management.
Core Competencies:• Ability to align lean initiatives with business and operational goals.• Skilled in leading teams and developing lean capabilities across all levels.• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to use data to drive decisions.• Effective communicator with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.• Capable of managing multiple lean projects with clear deliverables and timelines.• Ability to lead cultural transformation and sustain lean practices.• Comfortable working in dynamic environments and driving continuous change.
Qualifications:• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.• Minimum 10 years of experience in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or industrial engineering roles.• Lean Six Sigma certification (Black Belt) preferred.• Experience in automotive, electronics, or high-volume manufacturing industries is a strong advantage.• Proficiency in English.
