Your ResponsibilitiesDevelopment, communication and implementation of business and supply-chain-processes, logistics concepts and change management strategies that support, enhance and improve overall operational performanceProvide leadership and technical expertise and serves as a key contact within the organization for all supply-chain, transportation and logistics related issues; closely works with Senior Management / Division Management to establish strategic plans and objectivesDevelopment and operationalization of cost-effective supply-chain, transportation and logistics solutions that create “win-win” partnerships with company businesses, transporters and end-use customersResponsibility for initiation of new logistics projects; manages budgeting and budget execution to maximize financial results, leads contract negotiations; defines KPIs; steers and controls running costsWho we are looking for Strong communication and negotiation skills , ability to communicate with various interest groupsHigh degree of self-motivation, hands-on approach and ability to work on own initiativeMethodical, structured and systematic working approach and good analytical skillsAbility to analyze existing organizational structures, operational procedure and business processes and seize opportunities to improve them continuouslyAbility to work in a multicultural environmentYour preferred qualificationsGraduate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or comparable educationBusiness fluent English language skills; any other language would be an assetSeveral years of work experience in high volume automotive manufacturing environment, ideally Just in Time / Just in Sequence, with project management responsibility / logistics planning / managerial and leadership experienceProfound knowledge of logistics related work- and management systems and tools (Lean Logistics, Six Sigma, Kaizen etc.)Awareness, Unity, Empowerment:At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
