THE OPPORTUNITY
In this role, you are the front-line quality authority for all incoming tobacco leaf materials purchased by Philip Morris International. You ensure that 100% of tobacco inputs comply with PMI quality standards before release for use. You operate independently based on SOPs, master samples, and defined quality parameters, safeguarding product integrity across the supply chain and ensuring full compliance with internal standards and external regulations.

 

Responsibilities of the role:

Conduct independent quality inspections of all incoming tobacco leaf materialsValidate materials against master samples, SOPs, and PMI quality standardsApprove or reject tobacco inputs based on inspection results and documented evidenceIdentify, document, and follow up on non-conformities and corrective actionsCoordinate inspections with third-party warehouse operatorsMaintain accurate inspection reports, quality records, and compliance documentationSupport internal and external audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessmentsCollaborate with global stakeholders and warehouses across multiple regionsContribute to continuous improvement of inspection standards and quality processes

 

 

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Proven experience in quality inspection / quality assurance in a regulated or industrial environmentHands-on experience with SOPs, master samples, and compliance standardsAbility to independently assess quality and take approval/rejection decisionsExperience working with warehouses or third-party operators is a strong advantageStrong reporting and documentation skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel; SAP or quality systems experience is a plusHigh attention to detail and strong compliance mindsetComfortable working in a global, cross-cultural environmentFluent in English; additional languages are a plus
