Internal Grade Classification and Semi-Finished (OTP) Production: Supervise factory and OTP classification processes to ensure compliance with internal grade parameters. Manage blending and feeding line activities, ensuring uniformity and classification precision. Review pickings, setouts, scraps, and stem collection data inputs into Leaf Point for accurate traceability and reporting. Establish classification samples for blending and evaluation, coordinating HS and Butted operations to meet blend specifications. Quality Assurance: Support the QC Manager in conducting quality inspections during processing, ensuring blend quality and grade standards are met consistently. Ensure finished product lots and MoPi's adhere to specified chemical and quality parameters. Supervise factory leaf NTRM and quality checking teams to maintain stringent quality standards. Identify and resolve technical quality issues promptly during production to minimise disruptions. Ensure all quality assurance inspections are conducted in alignment with established manuals and procedures. Systems Maintenance: Oversee accurate and timely entry of all system transactions related to leaf blending, ensuring compliance with LPS recommendations and audit controls. Manage Leaf Point data entry during semi-finished OTP production and maintain power user functionality for processing systems. Conduct training for subordinates to develop competence as backup power users responsible for Leaf Point operations and reporting. Assist in coordinating logistics to guarantee timely shipping of tobacco to GLT for production. Talent Development and Training: Lead, inspire, and develop the blending and processing teams to meet business goals effectively while building a strong succession pipeline. Implement tailored development plans including internal/external training, assessments, gap analyses, and continuous improvement initiatives. Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) & Other Duties: Ensure full compliance with JTI EHS principles and promote a safe working environment for the blending team and related personnel. Enforce rider safety standards, including provision and mandatory use of PPE and relevant training. Participate in cross-functional projects and support the Agronomy team in data collection, farmer training, and development activities as assigned.
