ETCs are on a journey to accelerate capability-driven excellence by equipping talent with future-ready skills for sustained relevance and impact. This role will architect and drive the integration of AI as a core enabler within our Capability-Driven Organization framework — embedding AI across engineering workflows, strengthening strategic competencies, and institutionalizing measurable growth. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on strategy, governance, maturity modeling, and enterprise alignment — not execution ownership. Work Arrangement - Hybrid: This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule, with work performed on-site 4 days each week. **What you will do** **:** In this role, you will: **Architect AI-Enabled Capability Strategy** + Translate Enterprise AI direction and Engineering priorities into a structured India ETC AI & Capability roadmap. + Define strategic pillars across productivity, domain differentiation, and institutionalized maturity. + Align AI integration with MBSE, Digital Engineering, PLM, Controls, Manufacturing, and Advanced Analytics ecosystems. **Establish Capability-Driven Frameworks** + Design and deploy Capability Maturity Models across engineering functions. + Embed Crawl–Walk–Run–Fly adoption frameworks for AI enablement. + Establish governance mechanisms to convert pilots into institutionalized practices. **Enable Future Skills & Competency Development** + Lead competency mapping and future skills identification (AI/ML, Digital Twin, Industry 4.0, MBSE, Sustainability). + Drive structured AI literacy programs and role-based workflow embedding. + Establish AI capability stewards and transformation champions across teams. **Drive Strategic Alignment & Cross-Functional Integration** · Partner with capability leaders (Manufacturing, S/w Controls, Advanced Engineering, Data Science, PMO & System Integration) to embed AI into live engineering programs. · Serve as the strategic interface between ETCs and Enterprise AI leadership. · Ensure alignment to CTOs North Box and long-range planning objectives. **Measurement, Feedback & ROI Accountability** · Define measurable success metrics across productivity, quality, cycle time, rework reduction, and strategic conversions. · Track adoption depth and institutionalization maturity across functions. · Enable conversion of AI initiatives into business-funded programs demonstrating tangible ROI. **What you will bring:** · 15–20+ years of experience in Engineering Leadership, Digital Transformation, or Technology Strategy. · Strong understanding of AI/ML applications in engineering, manufacturing, and digital systems. · Proven experience designing capability transformation frameworks at scale. · Expertise in maturity models, governance mechanisms, and KPI-based transformation measurement. · Deep knowledge of engineering lifecycle environments (Design, Controls, Software Testing, Manufacturing, Digital, PLM/MBE). · Strong cross-functional influence and executive communication capability. · Ability to balance strategic vision with measurable execution outcomes. **Educational Qualification:** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Digital Engineering, or related field.
