Your Impact
As a Leader, Data Science on the GPS Data & Systems Architecture team, you will lead the development of scalable data platforms and trusted data ecosystems that power strategic decision-making across procurement operations. You’ll architect modern data infrastructure, establish data standards, and oversee the deployment of AI-enabled solutions that unlock insights and automation across the enterprise.
You will:
Lead the design and implementation of robust, secure, and scalable data infrastructure for procurement analyticsBuild end-to-end pipelines and data products to support reporting, forecasting, and AI-powered insightsGuide high-level strategy and hands-on execution for data quality, governance, and complianceCollaborate with business and engineering partners to align data architecture with enterprise needsSupport the integration of machine learning models and AI tools for use cases like supplier risk, spend forecasting, and process automationPromote adoption of cloud-native data tools, reusable frameworks, and enterprise-wide best practicesMentor and grow a high-performing team of data scientists and analysts, fostering development and alignment with business prioritiesCommunicate technical concepts clearly to executive stakeholders and drive alignment across technical and business teamsChampion a culture of innovation, experimentation, and ownership within the team
Minimum Qualifications
Experience: 15+ years in data infrastructure, analytics engineering, or data architecture roles, preferably within large enterprise environmentsData Architecture & Engineering: Hands-on expertise with MPP databases (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and scalable data pipelinesProgramming & Modeling: Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL with experience developing analytical models (e.g., regression, time-series, neural networks)BI & Visualization: Strong command of tools such as Power BI, AI Analytics tools with proven ability to build data products for broad business consumptionLeadership: At least 6 + years of experience managing or leading technical teams, with the ability to mentor talent and drive results through collaborationGovernance & Compliance: Deep understanding of data governance practices, including security, privacy, and lifecycle managementAI/ML Engineering: Experience integrating AI/ML solutions into production workflows, including foundation models or LLM-based tools
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with unstructured data systems (e.g., MongoDB, Elasticsearch) and vector databasesPrior experience supporting procurement, supply chain, or finance domains through data and analyticsMaster’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related quantitative fieldPassion for driving innovation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement using dataKnowledge of enterprise systems and financial planning tools.
