Lead Warehouse Worker- 1st Shift
**Position Summary:** Penske Logistics is looking for warehouse associates to become part of an excellent team. Provides support and some supervision to regular and temporary warehouse associate functions. Works closely with Operations Supervisors to ensure employee productivity expectations are met. To learn more visit https://penske.jobs/benefits _Additional Benefits:_ • Paid Time Off • Medical Insurance • Dental Insurance • Vision Insurance • Life Insurance • 401K with company match • Associate Referral Program • $125 Boot Allowance after 90 Days of Employment (where applicable) Our associates also enjoy numerous associate discounts and opportunities to grow with the organization! **Major Responsibilities:** § Executes assignments, provides status updates, & project visibility to Operations Supervisor(s) § Lead a team of warehouse associates to achieve operational goals while championing safety and productivity § Operate forklifts, counterbalance, pallet jacks, and other equipment as needed § Stage and sort products; loads and unloads trailers § Ensuring system count matches physical inventory § Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system § Quality control: ensure no damaged products are sent out and identify damaged products when received § Complete daily logs and communicate with associates from other shifts or departments § All associate training as well as backfilling for supervisors § Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs § Reads customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be loaded/unloaded § Uses computer to enter data and maintains inventory records as needed § Opens and closes dock doors § Maintain a clean and safe work area § Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor. **Qualifications:** • 1-2 years of warehouse experience required • 1 year of supervisory experience preferred • High School diploma or equivalent preferred • Read, write, understand, and speak English • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint preferred • Ability to learn and use proprietary software required • Flexible to work overtime required • Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions • Ability to lead a team, ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexibility required, excellent with numbers, time management, and ability to execute are required. • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job. **Physical Requirements:** • The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
