POSITION SUMMARY

C.H. Robinson is seeking a Lead Warehouse Associate to play a pivotal role in training, coaching, and overseeing our warehouse team. In this position, you'll ensure the safe and efficient loading and unloading of freight from trailers or ocean containers, maintaining the flow of materials within the warehouse. You will elevate our operations by implementing process enhancements, resolving issues, and achieving efficiency improvements. ***This is a Monday-Friday position. Hours are 3pm-11:30pm ET.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

Support warehouse supervisory team in adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure their implementationAssist warehouse team in utilizing Warehouse Management System (WMS), including training and troubleshooting, to maintain efficient warehouse organizationReceive goods from customers and suppliers by offloading and loading vehicles, checking paperwork, weighing, measuring, and reporting discrepancies or damagesOperate stand-up, sit-down forklifts, and hand jacks for palletization, stretch wrapping, and banding of cargoLoad and unload trailers/ocean containers in a professional and damage-free mannerPrepare outbound loads by matching paperwork, labeling, and handling Unit Load Device (ULD) preparationSign off Bills of Lading accurately, verifying counts and damagesStage cargo within the warehouse safely and orderlyMaintain warehouse cleanliness and organization standards through general housekeepingEnsure quality standards are met according to standard operating procedures (SOP) or customer requirements, including reworking or recouping freightContribute to the development of new SOPs related to new business, products, or process changesRegular duties include cross-functional areas such as receiving, loading, picking, shipping, etc.Completion of weekly bond checksExecute Dock-to-Stock procedures and regulations at all times, maintaining building perimeter security and challenging anything or anyone untowardHandle bonded import freight into the External Temporary Storage (ERTS) facility in accordance with regulations and breakdown of inbound ULD’s as required

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Must be at least 18 years oldMinimum 2 years of previous warehouse operations experiencePossess good physical stamina and coordinationCould be required to stand and/or walk for long periods daily while frequently bending, twisting, reaching, and periodically lifting up to 50 lbs.Certified forklift operatorApplicants in a warehouse role must complete a pre-employment drug screen as part of a conditional job offerAbility to work flexible hours and days

Preferred:

High School Diploma or GEDFamiliarity with Bills of Lading, Shipping Manifests, Delivery Orders, etc.    Excellent verbal communication skillsValues a diverse and inclusive work environment

Compensation Range

$17.88 - $27.88

The base pay range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for this specific location.  Your individual base pay within this range is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
