Lead Training Specialist
Overview **Position contingent upon contract award** SOS International LLC (SOSi) seeks a Lead Training Specialist to oversee comprehensive training programs for our government customer. This role ensures all staff meet contract requirements through effective training development, delivery, and evaluation, focusing on child welfare, trauma-informed care, and ORR policies to support high-quality call center services. Essential Job Duties Oversee all staff training, ensuring completion of contract-required topics (e.g., ORR policies, crisis intervention, trafficking screening, sexual abuse prevention, information security). Develop and maintain a training plan, including orientation, Call Specialist Handbook, switchboard training, and specialized modules (e.g., zero-tolerance policies, refugee eligibility referrals per ORR Policy Letter 16-01). Evaluate training efficacy, adjust methodologies and materials to improve staff understanding and performance. Train on key areas: working with UAC (e.g., de-escalation, mandated reporting, cultural sensitivity), professional boundaries, documentation processes, and resources for UAC. Collaborate with Project Manager and stakeholders to align training with child safety, anti-trafficking, and service delivery needs. Ensure training complies with federal standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST) and is updated annually or as policies change. Support quality assurance by monitoring training outcomes and integrating feedback into continuous improvement. Minimum Requirements Master's degree in organizational development, human resources, leadership development, education, or equivalent of six (6) years of relevant experience. At least five (5) years of experience in developing and overseeing staff training programs. Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred). Ability to pass ORR-required background investigations and updates every five years. U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency, and at least 18 years of age. Compliance with prohibited hiring policies. Availability for flexible hours to support 24/7/365 operations. Preferred Qualifications Experience training in child welfare or humanitarian contexts. Knowledge of ORR-specific training requirements and tools. Work Environment Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
