Anti Financial Crime (AFC) Technology
JLL empowers you to shape a brighter way. Our people at JLL and JLL Technologies are shaping the future of real estate for a better world by combining world class services, advisory, and technology for our clients. We are committed to hiring the best, most talented people and empowering them to thrive, grow meaningful careers, and to find a place where they belong.
What This Job InvolvesAs a Product Manager within JLL’s Global Ethics & Compliance team, you will drive product management for the Anti Financial Crime (AFC) technology portfolio — a multi-year transformation program that underpins JLL’s regulatory compliance and operational excellence across global operations. You will serve as the primary bridge between the Ethics & Compliance (E&C) department and Technology teams, owning the product roadmap for AFC applications spanning sanctions screening, anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorism financing (CTF), and know-your-customer (KYC) capabilities.
This role combines strategic product ownership with hands-on delivery management. You will lead requirements gathering with E&C subject matter experts, manage vendor relationships for external compliance platforms, and coordinate with cross-functional teams including technology, data governance, and operations to deliver high-quality AFC solutions. Reporting to the Head of Anti Financial Crime, you will align AFC development priorities with JLL’s enterprise data strategy and ensure program delivery within budget and timeline.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like• Own and manage the AFC technology product roadmap, aligning development priorities to the multi-year transformation program and annual compliance department goals
• Act as the compliance application owner for both internal and external AFC platforms, ensuring solutions deliver effective sanctions, AML, CTF, and KYC coverage
• Serve as the primary liaison between Ethics & Compliance and Technology teams — capturing functional requirements from E&C SMEs and translating them into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications
• Manage the technology backlog for Global E&C, ensuring priorities align with AFC objectives and deliver measurable outcomes
• Evaluate and recommend solutions for functional and technical requirements, balancing build vs. buy decisions and vendor capabilities
• Maintain vendor relationships for external compliance technology platforms and guide E&C SMEs through vendor engagement, evaluation, and escalation processes
• Follow a disciplined product development approach including structured requirements gathering, success metrics definition and tracking, budget vs. actuals management, and net impact measurement against compliance goals
• Hold internal stakeholders accountable for executing within established development processes and timelines, escalating risks to the Head of AFC when delivery estimates are in jeopardy
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including technology, data governance, operations, and E&C SMEs to deliver integrated, high-quality compliance solutions
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing AFC processes and address unmet needs, driving a continuous improvement cycle across the compliance technology portfolio
• Leverage Agile methodologies to deliver incremental value, managing sprint planning, backlog grooming, and stakeholder demos
Required Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5–8 years of product management or technology delivery experience, with at least 3 years focused on financial crime, AML/CTF, or compliance technology within a global organization
• Strong understanding of AFC domains including sanctions screening, AML, CTF, and KYC processes and regulatory requirements
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex compliance and regulatory requirements into clear product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Experience managing technology backlogs and delivering products using Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence)
• Strong technical acumen with understanding of system integrations, data governance, and compliance technology architecture
• Proven track record contributing to enterprise-wide technology transformation or compliance programs
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across cultures and geographies with multi-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities — able to identify complex issues, clarify requirements, and propose solutions that meet policy and compliance standards
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex compliance and technical concepts to diverse audiences
• High attention to detail and a commitment to executing with accuracy and integrity
Preferred Qualifications• Recognized professional qualification in AML/CTF (e.g., CAMS, ICA Diploma)
• Experience with compliance technology vendors and platforms used for sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, or KYC automation
• Understanding of how AI and agentic AI capabilities can enhance compliance workflows — for example, intelligent document review, automated risk scoring, or autonomous screening and escalation workflows
• Background in data governance, data quality, and enterprise data strategy as applied to compliance and regulatory reporting
• Project or program management experience, including budget management and cross-functional delivery coordination
• Experience working in commercial real estate, financial services, or another regulated industry with complex global compliance obligations
• Familiarity with data privacy, security compliance, and regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions
Key Competencies• Global Agility: Works effectively across cultures with multi-geographical, cross-functional teams and provides guidance that drives results
• Role-Model Integrity: Upholds and champions the highest standards of Ethics & Compliance, demonstrating transparency and appropriate escalation
• Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities to navigate complex regulatory and technical challenges
• Effective Communication: Translates between compliance, business, and technology stakeholders with clarity and precision
