Lead Technical Project Manager

ADP is hiring a Lead Technical Project Manager.

As a part of ADP Lyric HCM, you will be the person who keeps our team(s) on track and on time for new projects. Working alongside cross functional team members, you remove roadblocks and keep team members focusing on delivering projects. Whether it’s reporting, brainstorming, negotiating, seeking sponsor support, coaching or auditing the process - you'll do whatever it takes to keep the projects moving.

No two days are the same. You will work alongside a cross functional team to brainstorm, define, plan, execute and monitor your projects, communicating with your team or communicating across other functions as well as sponsors to avoid potential issues in the project plan. You will not only anticipate and works towards mitigating risks and ensure project(s) outcomes are measurable and aligned with business priorities. While every day is fast-moving and unpredictable, one thing is sure: people skills are necessary for every aspect of this job.

To thrive in this role, you must understand the software development project lifecycle in an Agile environment and have deep experience managing large-scale technical projects. You should be comfortable managing a project from inception to production at an enterprise level, balancing competing priorities while coaching your teams to deliver with excellence. You must be comfortable enough with code to decipher functions, and a technical coding background will help you be successful. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

Agile. Drive the adoption and maturity of agile practices. Improve impediments that block team progress, fostering an environment of transparency, adaptability and continuous improvement. Governance. Establish and oversee program governance ensuring projects meet strategic objectives, deadlines and quality standards. Set clear expectations, provide guidance and model the behaviors that define a high performing program management culture. Communication. Serve as a trusted partner and point of contact for the projects. You'll share information with teams, mark milestones and provide metrics and status updates to Senior Leadership and Project sponsors. Organization. You are very organized, and you keep everyone on task. Manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and resources. Develop and maintain Rd. maps, timelines and program dashboards to track progress and identify dependencies. Servant Leadership. Your job is to help everyone else work better. What tasks or issues can you handle so your development team can keep working? What barriers can you remove? Presentations. Deliver program updates, executive briefings woman's outcome reports to senior leadership with clarity and impact. Experience. You have 10-12 years of technical project/program management experience.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

Bachelor’s degree in technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications or related engineering field OR equivalent. 10-12 years of technical project/program management experience Proven success managing large, complex projects in a fast-paced, matrix organization Strong understanding of agile delivery methodologies Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, including executive level interactions. Technical knowledge of web application development and enterprise technology ( hands on coding not required). Ability to lead and inspire teams, aligning them to deliver business outcomes under tight deadlines. PMP or agile certifications are a plus. Experience in MS Project, SPO, JIRA Align, JIRA Software, Rally, or others. Highly proficient in MS Office suite (or alike)
