The Lead Systems Analyst – Pharmacy Ambulatory and Community Support provides informatics and systems support for pharmacy operations at a large academic medical center, spanning ambulatory, retail/community, and specialty services within the EHR. This role partners closely with pharmacy operations teams, providers, nurses, IT/Epic support, and analytics partners to optimize workflows and enhance patient care through technology. Responsibilities include building, maintaining, and improving Epic functionality, supporting medication dispensing processes, troubleshooting system issues, and leading upgrades, testing, and implementations. In a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this role also delivers end-user support and training while driving continuous system improvements to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and operational excellence.

This is a remote role. A caregiver in this position will work 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
 

A caregiver who excels in this role will: 

Lead IT projects, including planning, obtaining customer input and projecting resource requirements.Review system requirements with customers and translates requirements into specific functions or deliverables.Analyze flow chart processes and recommend ways to reduce steps and increase efficiency through use of technology.Plan, schedule and manage multiple projects requiring computer resources including project scheduling.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, Health Sciences, Healthcare Admin or related field6 years of system implementation experience, including directing, planning and scheduling a major information system projectOR High School Diploma / GED or equivalent and 9 years of experienceOR Associate’s Degree and 7 years of experienceFor Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of position start dateUnderstanding of networking/distributed computing environment conceptsUnderstands principles of client/server configurationExcellent knowledge of messaging technology and project management skillsMust have strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to work independently

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

Prior outpatient/community pharmacy work flow experiencePharmacy informatics and clinical systems backgroundEPIC/EHR experienceEPIC certification strongly preferred

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment. Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.In some locations, ability to move up to 20 lbs.
