Description: Lead Systems Analyst
To coordinate and conduct the most complex system analyses, feasibility studies and implementation studies of potential computer applications to determine the advisability and profitability of adapting complex EDP techniques to Navy Federal functional areas. Plan, coordinate and organize projects and project teams. Oversee full lifecycle project implementation and exercise full technical knowledge of all phases of applications systems analysis. Act as supervisor in the incumbent's absence.
Responsibilities
Design and document complex technical solutions to functional systems requirements including feasibility evaluation, technical architecture, logical data models, system processes, programs and modules, testing and conversion procedures, and detailed design function specifications, and program specificationsDirect and develop cross departmental and highly visible complex projects and assign tasksMay review and approve work of staff and ensure adherence to user requirements and department standardsMay provide input to supervisor concerning performance evaluations of section membersProvide technical advice and guidance to team members, stay on top of emerging technology trendsDesign, build, and implement programs based on detailed specificationsProvide expert consulting and support services to internal customersInteract with customers to identify and document functional requirements including descriptions of business functions, input and output descriptions, procedural flows, data elements, performance criteria, and security and control requirementsAnalyze and revise the most complex existing system logic difficultiesDetermine application modifications, additions, and/or configuration codes; test and document program modulesMay develop, test, and implement task plansDevelop and implement data verification methods and standard system proceduresReview specifications for the development of program modules for accuracy and content to ensure consistency with department standards and corporate objectivesPlan, coordinate, and organize coding, testing, documentation, and implementation of program modules, applications and supporting procedures for automated systemsReport application flexibility and scalability to management; develop project plans and provide information to leadership to assist in setting prioritiesLead, guide, and mentor lower level team membersPerform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
