Koniag Data Systems, LLC is seeking a Lead Systems Administrator to provide comprehensive system administration support for the U.S. Navy. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in systems administration, technical leadership, and enterprise IT operations. This role requires someone who can lead the planning, implementation, and maintenance of complex IT systems while providing technical guidance to junior administrators and ensuring optimal system performance and security. **Essential responsibilities, Functions, & Duties:** + Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using industry-standard best practices. + Knowledge of MS Office 2016, internet browsers, LAN/WAN networking, enterprise WiFi, VMWare, storage technologies + Perform tasks related to storage provisioning and host integration. + Analyze, troubleshoot, and implement solutions related to storage technical problems. + Implement data storage management guidelines, policies, standards, procedures, and other documentation. + Propose a highly available storage and backup environment to eliminate single points of failure. + Develop automation scripts to improve the deployment and management of cloud resources. + Ensure the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy + Monitor and analyze cloud infrastructure performance to identify and resolve issues proactively. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based applications for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. + Participate in the design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans. + Provide daily, weekly, and monthly monitoring while delivering trackable report + Identify areas for change or enhancement to improve quality efficiency, and continually evaluate and improve existing and new services + Utilize monitoring tools to detect and report application, network, and security issues + Participate in user support as needed + Develop long-term, cross-discipline strategies and roadmaps for implementing retention, data security classification, access control and collaboration for unstructured and semi-structured data in M365. + Other special projects and/or duties as assigned **Education and Experience:** + Bachelor of Science degree: 8-10 years of experience in a related field. + Master of Science degree: 6-8 years of experience in a related field. + PhD: 3-5 years of experience in a related field. **Required Skills and Competencies:** + Security+ certification and training for root access to NAVO networks + Experienced in system administration of RedHat Enterprise Linux, ESRI Technologies, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, Software System Design, Apache, Java Application Servers, and PostgreSQL + Experience with managing operational availability of web-based software systems and services such as OGC services, geospatial technologies, Python, JavaScript, and Java applications + Experience with DISA STIGs, cybersecurity, vulnerability management, experience with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) + Experience with OpenAM (Ping Identity), Tomcat, PostgreSQL, Java, Splunk, CJMTK (ESRI Enterprise Portal and ArcGIS Servers), Unstructured Data and Data Management scripts (mostly Python), ESRI Workflow Manager, and Custom government-off-the-shelf (GOTS) Java applications. + T5 / Secret Security clearance required **Our Equal Employment Opportunity Policy** The company is an equal opportunity employer.
