KEY ROLES
The SDC Lead Structural Construction Engineer will be responsible for delivery of structural construction/installation across the SDC Topsides, with specific emphasis as follows;  Demonstrate excellent personal HSSE leadership and HSE behaviours. Lead, by example, with regards to company’s HSE policy.  Fulfill the role of SDC focal-point for structural construction/installation delivery, across designated areas of the platform-build.  Actively participate in construction-related decisions; collaborate with SDC Topside Construction Team lead to provide a discipline perspective to schedules, design deliverables, materials purchases, degree of structural installation, material delivery configuration and sequence, as well as development of any required subcontracts.  Provide technical construction oversight and assurance during structural fabrication activities. Specific focus will be required across Lift calculations, and approval of such, for heavy and engineered lifts (Key requirement).  Perform the role of focal-point for Topsides Jacking and Load-out process including calculation verification and overall readiness to execute (Key requirement). BASIC SKILLS  Deep knowledge of structural steel fabrication, erection and assembly (modules, decks, flare etc.)  Understanding of structural drawings, IFC packages and shop drawings. Familiar with welding processes, NDT requirements and structural integrity checks.  Knowledge of lifting, rigging and load-out processes for topside structures. Awareness of offshore design codes and standards (AOI, ISO, AWS D1.1, AISC, etc.).  Ability to plan and sequence structural works to meet project milestones.  Coordination with fabrication yard, subcontractors, and interface with E&I, piping, and mechanical teams. TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS  Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Civil/structural engineering.  Desired: A master degree in Structural Offshore engineering is an advantage EXPERIENCE A high-level of communication and interpersonal skills.  Significant experience (10+ years) in topside fabrication and erction, module integration and load out.  Significant experience (5+ years) of leading structural construction, including knowledge of associated codes and practices.  Experience of effectively interfacing and working together with Design / Construction Contractors and Operations entities.  Previous experience to EPC offshore mega-projects in fabrication yards. Experience with HSSE issues related to on-site construction activities.  Deep understanding of CLIENT Construction Defined Practice and the latest international standards assure integrity of build and construction quality  RESPONSIBILITIES & OBJECTIVES Lead and oversight across all Topsides Structural fabrication, assembly, installation activities, from site ramp-up through final acceptance including Mechanical Completion Handover processes.  Review and interpret IFC drawings, shop drawings and specifications to ensure constructability and compliance.  Perform the role of COMPANY Construction representative during the formal Mechanical Completion (MC) walkdown and sign-off process across structural elements. Coordinate punch-list close-out with Contractor. Actively participate in construction-related decisions; provide a discipline perspective to delivery schedules, material delivery configuration and sequence.  Interface with Design and Construction Contractors, to ensure constructability input is being actively considered and implemented.  Input, as required, to the development and review of project documentation, including all associated fabrication procedures. Ensure readiness reviews are conducted prior to defined construction activities. Input to construction risk identification and management and owns construction risk action plans. Identify areas for optimising fabrication work processes across structural fabrication scope. Drive process improvement activities with appropriate teams and realise measurable results. Leverage and adopt the ‘agile’ framework for successful project delivery
