Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

Work within a team environment to execute work plans within budget and scheduleSupport Civil Systems design and/or equipment construction activities, respond to vendor questions and deviation requests; review and approve vendor document submittalsHave other duties as assigned by Manager and the Senior Engineers Interface with internal and external customers, suppliers, partners, licensing, the NRC and international regulatory authorities on technical issuesIncorporate design requirements into analyses and design documentsSupport GVH quality requirements, including participation in design reviews, initiating and Manage the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned systems using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirementsDocument technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and proceduresProvide timely communications on significant issues or developments

Qualifications / Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other Engineering Discipline from an Accredited College or UniversitySolid proven experience of Civil Engineering Analysis and Design Experience

Additional Desired Characteristics

Master’s Degree or greater in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or UniversityNuclear Industry knowledge / experience Strong knowledge of fundamental engineering principles, BWR core/fuel material behavior, and mechanical or structural design fundamentalsStrong communication and writing skills and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignmentsStrong facilitation, team building, communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of project managementStrong analytical capabilities, problem solving and process skillsHonest and straightforward with a high level of personal integrity.Detail-oriented and accountable for resultsAbility to work effectively within a highly collaborative environmentA self-starter willing to take initiative
