Lead Specialist Promo

PRIMARY FUNCTION
As Lead Specialist, Promotion Ops, you will be responsible for setting up and managing
promotion offers
in Target Promotion systems to ensure Promotions are rolled out on time and accurately
across digital channels.
 PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Promotion Set Up – Serve as primary owner of Promotion set up and management
with across all promotional vehicles (Digital Weekly Ad, Temporary Price Cut, Circle
etc.) for multiple levels of promotional structures (item, brand, category, etc.)
through the IVY system.
Continuous management of existing Promotions that need to be modified prior to
going live (items added to the assortment, item removal due to availability, price
point or %-off changes)
Data Quality – Ensure quality in promotional data gathered through incoming
Promotion intake processes from either Vendors or from Target teams and maintain
critical data consistency best practices throughout the process
Collaborate with US-based teams and Central PPPCOE team on Promo Set Up
strategy, process adherence, reporting and consistency across divisions and
pyramids
Mentoring & Training – Assist and participate in new hire & refresher trainings. Mentor
new team members in handling Process and Partner Queries.
Department/Category Ownership: Maintain flawless execution with 100% accuracy
and timeliness, own a complex department/category
Drive partnership with product and engineering teams for procedural/technical issues
with proactive visibility to process owners
Prioritizes multiple tasks to complete work on time.
Ownership of daily deliverables across divisions, weekly recaps and meeting with
Leader
Ensure timely and proactive communication with key stakeholders
Demonstrate ability to work as a team and cultivate an inclusive environment
Aides in developing best methods and identifying process improvements and
efficiencies.
Aide in terms of workload planning, prioritization, new updates, and process changes
and be a point person for communication between Minneapolis and the other TM’s in
the division/category
Participate and execute cross functional initiatives across price, clearance &
promotion operations
 REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to Sr. Manager, Promotion Capabilities, Target Plus. Partners with a leader to
support one or more divisions.
Develop and maintain working relationship with Category Managers, Account
Managers, Promo Engineering Teams, Product Owners, US Based Promo Operations leadership, Data Analytics and all other teams related to Promo operations, to
cohesively work towards achieving the business mission and goals
 JOB REQUIREMENTS
Graduate with 2 to 4 years of work experience
Proficiency in excel and other MS Office tools like Outlook and PowerPoint; Advanced
Excel preferred
Strong verbal and written communication
Approaches problems with curiosity and generates creative solutions
Ability to work well with others and contribute to a positive environment.
Highly motivated and committed to the development of high-quality work
Ability to multi-task with a high sense of urgency and initiative
Detail oriented
Exposure to Project Management principles
Exposure to quality improvement frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma)
