About the Role

• Responsible for managing financial reporting, analysis and audit-related activities, including month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate submissions in line with internal policies and stipulated timelines.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and tax-related matters to ensure timely completion and comply with local regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis (40%)

Manage month-end and year-end financial closing activities with internal policies and procedures.

Perform in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and provide commentary on financial performance and variances.

Contribute to process improvement initiatives related to financial closing process.

Prepare monthly and quarterly group financial reporting within stipulated timeline.

Budgeting & Forecasting (30%)

Involve in annual budgeting process, including the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.

Coordinate with cross-departmental teams to gather relevant inputs and validate budget assumptions.

Monitor actual performance against budget and highlight significant variances.

Ensure budgeting activities are conducted in accordance with internal policies and timelines.

Audit & Compliance (30%)

Support audit processes, including preparation of required documentation and addressing audit-related queries.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Assist in tax-related matters pertaining to direct and indirect tax, including withholding tax and SST.

Coordinate with cross-departmental teams to ensure completion of transfer pricing documentation within stipulated timeline.

Monitor changes in tax requirements and assess impact on company’s finance operations.

To handle ad-hoc financial related tasks as and when requested by Finance Manager.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance and/or Professional Accounting Qualification.

At least 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance field.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Experience with SAP is an added advantage.

Strong analytical and effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-departmental teams.

Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
