OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION:
Rosewood Kona Village’s Lead Spa Attendant will work together with the Spa Supervisor to provide general spa orientation to guests upon arrival, offer guests amenities, stock spa supplies and keep guest areas well maintained and clean. This individual will ensure the highest level of personalized, friendly and outstanding guest service that exceeds expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coach and train all Spa Attendants: Protocols and Standards
• Assist with coordinating weekly schedule for the Spa Attendant Team ensuring that all shifts have appropriate coverage
• Provide dynamic services to ensure guests are “wowed” by Rosewood at Kona Village’s hospitality
• Interact with guests always displaying proper etiquette following Kona Village standards
• Ensure all Spa Attendants leave guests with a lasting impression by treating all guests with the utmost courtesy and providing personalized and friendly service
• Maintain all inventory and amenities for Fitness Center, Tennis Courts and Locker Rooms
• Coordinate monthly supply needs and communicate items to be purchased to Spa Supervisor
• Maintain cleanliness of all equipment, exercise area, lockers, etc.
• Provide amenities for patrons, i.e., towels, soap, etc.
• Maintain spa facility by performing necessary duties including picking up towels, cups, tidying/mopping shower and bathroom area, vanity, lockers and all spa areas to avoid the creation of slippery surfaces
• Remove used linens and robes from all spa areas, wash and dry massage table linen and small towels
• Greets guests in a friendly and courteous manner offering the highest level of personalized service while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic, helpful and professional attitude with all guests and team members
• Perform opening duties: Fitness Center.
Check room temperature; fill fruit bowl: waters; teas in Fitness Center and Tennis Facility; etc.
• Ensure Closing duties are carried out: Turn OFF Jacuzzi, steam and saunas; turn OFF all equipment in exercise rooms; refrigerate any fruit; ensure that all amenities are restocked for the following day and lock and secure all areas
• Daily pickup of laundered robes and large bath towels from housekeeping department
• Deliver to housekeeping all large, soiled robes and bath towels for outside laundry service
• Interact with guests always displaying proper etiquette following Rosewood Kona Village standards
• Organize, store and present all operational products from both vendors and warehouse
• Keep guest amenities stocked including water, body care products in locker rooms and relaxation lounge
• Assist in handling guest complaints and requests in a professional and timely manner
• Recommend tactics to consolidate and streamline guest operations
• Achieve and exceed LQA/Forbes service standards for Locker Rooms and Fitness Center
• Total compliance with Rosewood Kona Village standards of operation
• Stay current on spa best practices and industry trends
• Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often throughout an entire shift, as the job is physically active.Capable of bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, twisting, and lifting moderate weights (e.g., 10-40 lbs for linens, supplies, laundry bins). Good hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity for detailed tasks like restocking, cleaning, and handling small items. Comfortable working in warm, humid, or wet areas like steam rooms, saunas, etc. Ability to perform repetitive actions like folding towels or sanitizing surfaces.
