Reuter-Stokes is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to manage procurement activities across a defined portfolio of goods. In this role, you will apply sourcing policies, collaborate with suppliers, and ensure alignment with technical specifications and budgetary requirements. You will leverage established methods and procedures to support operational efficiency and contribute to strategic sourcing initiatives.

As a Buyer/Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for:
Manage the purchase of direct and indirect goods and services for assigned material groups
Source, negotiate, and procure materials, components, and services to meet operational needs
Analyze demand requirements and maintain purchase orders to ensure consistent material flow for production
Lead and support initiatives focused on supplier on-time delivery, cost reduction, and inventory optimization
Create and manage purchase orders, obtain supplier confirmations, and expedite materials to meet customer timelines
Follow up on past due items and reconcile supplier invoice discrepancies
Escalate potential material shortages impacting monthly sales commitments
Maintain accurate material and vendor data records
Participate in daily and weekly production meetings to provide proactive materials support
Communicate material shortages and forecast future monthly and quarterly material impacts
Apply critical thinking and data analysis to solve cross-functional supply chain challenges
Utilize Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis; SAP experience preferred
Build strong internal and external relationships through effective communication and collaboration
Demonstrate a proactive, driven approach to problem-solving within a manufacturing environment

To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor's degree
Have a minimum of 3+ years of Buying/Sourcing experience.
Must be able to pass export control eligibility requirements
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities
Work independently with minimal supervision
Apply advanced problem-solving skills to complex challenges
