Determine primary components and subsystems, analyzing technical trade-offs. Identify interfaces and collaborations, defining higher-level functional and non-functional requirements (NFRs). + **Define a Shared Technical and Architectural Vision:** Create a unified technical and architectural vision for the entire solution, ensuring alignment rather than focusing on specific components. + **Align Architectural Direction:** Collaborate with portfolio stakeholders, customers, Enterprise Architects, System Engineers, and development teams to align the architectural direction. + **Establish Implementation Strategy and Technical Foundation:** Develop an incremental implementation strategy and technical foundation for the architectural runway, preserving architectural flexibility through abstraction and generalization. + **Ensure Common Practices and Reuse:** Promote the use of common technology, design practices, and infrastructure where applicable.
