What you’ll do:

AT&T is seeking a Devops Engineer to support our Business Sales application built on Salesforce.  A DevOps Engineer at AT&T plays a critical role in enabling reliable, secure, and scalable delivery of software across enterprise and network-facing platforms. The role emphasizes automation, cloud-native engineering, CI/CD enablement, and a strong DevOps culture aligned with AT&T’s transformation initiatives and engineering standards.

Role Summary

The DevOps Engineer partners closely with application, infrastructure, security, and release teams to design, build, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments, and automated deployment frameworks. The role supports AT&T’s DevOps vision of collaboration, continuous improvement, and shared responsibility across the software lifecycle.

What you’ll need:

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (ADO) to support continuous integration, testing, and deployment across AT&T application platforms.

Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, following AT&T cloud standards and patterns.

Manage and support Azure environments, including access control, service principals, agent pools, and pipeline security, in alignment with AT&T technology and security policies.

Collaborate with development and operations teams to shift left on quality, security, and performance, reinforcing AT&T’s DevOps culture and maturity model.

Support release planning, deployment activities, and code freeze windows, ensuring stability across lower and production environments during enterprise releases.

Enable self-service DevOps capabilities for application teams by onboarding projects, repositories, pipelines, and shared DevOps assets.

Participate in incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts to enhance platform reliability and delivery velocity.

Promote best practices in version control, branching strategies, code reviews, and pipeline governance across teams.

What you’ll bring:

     • In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture principles, technologies, and best practices.

     • Experience in implementing and managing monitoring, alerting tools and vulnerability scanners.

    • Experience with Azure and its related services (AppService, AKS, AKV, Private Networking).

    • Experience with application containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, GitOps).

    • Experience with implementing CI/CD for applications and infrastructure (Azure DevOps, Copado, Git, Terraform, GitHub).

    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

    • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process



Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired in Computer Science. 5+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.

Our Lead Software Engineering, earns between $158,200-$237,400 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
