As a Lead Software Engineer in the Markets Technology team, you will design and deliver secure, stable, and scalable technology solutions that support our business objectives. You’ll work within an agile team, collaborating across functions to create trusted products. You will help shape the architecture and development of complex applications, ensuring high standards and continuous improvement. Job Responsibilities:

Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting to solve complex problemsCreate secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that integrate with critical systemsProduce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring alignment with design constraintsGather, analyze, and synthesize data to develop visualizations and reporting for continuous improvementIdentify hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architectureCollaborate with front office, operations, and technology teams to gather requirements and align on product specificationsDevelop and maintain project plans, timelines, and documentation to ensure timely deliveryConduct thorough testing and validation of new products to ensure compliance with standards and regulationsIdentify and resolve technical or operational issues during onboarding processesProvide ongoing support and training to stakeholders on new product features and functionalitiesContinuously evaluate and improve onboarding processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

Formal training or certification on software engineering conceptsBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalentHands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityProficiency in Python, JavaScript, Java, Junit, Maven, Hibernate, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, and Spring BatchExperience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming and database querying languagesExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsStrong understanding of equity derivatives products, their structure, and associated risksAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentProject management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyOverall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

Familiarity with modern front-end technologiesFamiliarity with one or more DBMS such as Oracle or MySQLProficiency in relevant programming languages and software tools (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java)
