Your core responsibilities include being a key technical contributor, tasked with implementing essential technology solutions across diverse technical domains to support the firm's business goals. **Job responsibilities** + Utilizing Java Development to create medium and large sized Java web applications including client interactions, system design, frontend/UI development, interaction with Java EE application server, and web services + Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems + Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others + Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems + Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture + Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies + Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect **Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills** + Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience + Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability + Advanced in one or more programming language(s) + Working with Java EE APIs; Working with development builds using Maven pattern builds + Application deployments using Jenkins, Jules and JFrog artifactory + Integration/enterprise testing utilizing Wiremock, Hoverfly, Jmeter and BlazeMeter; support of applications within a production environment using Grafana, Splunk and Dynatrace + Implementing Micro services using Spring Boot and Event Driven architecture using Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS; working with REST, JSON, XML Web APIs development + Working with Spring MVC, Spring data and Spring Security + Working with testing frameworks including Cucumber, Selenium, and Junit; working with mock testing frameworks such as Mockito; + Working with SQL and Databases such as Oracle, AWS Aurora, MySQL, etc. **Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills** + Working knowledge of AgenticAI Models + Familiarity with AI tools like LLMs, GenAI + Hands on experience with AWS Cloud Services Chase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America's households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
