In this role you will drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications. **Job responsibilities** + Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems + Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others + Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems + Leads evaluation sessions with internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture + Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies + Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect **Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills** + Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience + Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability. + Advanced proficiency in Java, J2EE, and RESTful web services for enterprise-scale application development. + Experience with event streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka. + Proficiency in working with NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra,, DynamoDB) and relational databases. + Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods. + Proficient across all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in Agile methodology. + Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security. + Demonstrated ability to build and maintain software applications within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning.). + In-depth understanding of the financial services industry and IT systems. + Practical experience with cloud-native architectures and deployment. **Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills** + Experience building large scale, distributed system design and performance optimization + AWS Developer or Architect Certifications + In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems Chase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America's households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
