As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology, you are an essential member of an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As a core technical contributor, you will be responsible for implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical domains, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm's business objectives.

 

Job responsibilities

 

Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsDevelops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersIdentifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsImplements statistical algorithms in scala, java on large data setsWorks with cloud enablement technologies including AWS & its various servicesWorks with different data platforms including on premise Hadoop servers, AWS, Databricks and KubernetesPerforming unit test cases and integration testing using java for software components
 

 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityAdvanced in one or more programming language(s)- Java, J2ee, Front End (React, Angular) based technical skillsProficiency in automation and continuous delivery methodsExperience with Relational Databases & SQLKnowledge of GIT, bitbucket, MavenProficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life CycleAdvanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityDemonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Practical cloud native experience- AWS cloud with hands-on various AWS services- Cloud Computing, Spring boot, Spring cloud

Experience with development of microservices and REST API

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsExperience in Java 8/11/17, Object-Oriented design & analysis is a plus Knowledge on Big Data technical stack preferably with sparkExperience with Unix, shell scripts, python is a plusWorking experience on Scala & Spark is a nice to have skill
