As a Lead Software Engineer-AWS/Java/Spring at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking Operations Technology team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceHands-on experience in delivering comprehensive system design, developing applications, conducting thorough testing, and ensuring ongoing operational stabilityAdvanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, with a strong emphasis on Java for building robust and scalable solutionsDemonstrated expertise in automation and continuous delivery methods, enabling efficient and reliable deployment processesPrevious hands-on experience working with SpringBoot to develop and maintain enterprise-level applicationsPrevious hands-on experience utilizing AWS services, including ECS, step functions, Lambdas, and Aurora PostgreSQL to architect and deploy cloud-based solutionsProficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, from initial requirements gathering through deployment and maintenanceAdvanced understanding of agile methodologies, including continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), application resiliency, and security best practicesDemonstrated proficiency in developing software applications and managing technical processes within specialized technical disciplines such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mobile technologiesIn-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems, with an ability to apply technical expertise to industry-specific challenges and requirementsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsPrevious hands-on experience working with modern front-end technologies such as React
