Summary: We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Lead Software Engineer to provide crucial technical oversight for an engineering team. This is a contract position designed to backfill a manager on leave. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical lead for two distinct projects, guiding a team of 9 engineers. Your role will be a blend of providing technical leadership, mentoring the team, and actively contributing to the codebase to ensure the success of both initiatives. Key Responsibilities: * Lead Software Engineer will provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of 9 engineers across two separate projects * Serve as the primary technical point of contact, offering hands-on support to troubleshoot code issues and resolve technical blockers * Lead the design and architecture of new features for the existing Portal Project and the new project in its early stages (database schema design) * Maintain a hands-on role by writing and reviewing code, ensuring high standards of quality and maintainability * As a Lead Software Engineer, you will collaborate with team members and consultants to ensure a smooth development process and project delivery * Oversee application deployment and management on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
