Lead Software Engineer

Overview
As a Lead Software Test Engineer on the Business Payment Service (BPS) team, you’ll bring your deep expertise with modern, full-stack, test practices & tools to create world-class UX and microservice-based solutions. We’re building a global business-to-business (B2B) technology platform to help businesses of all sizes streamline how they manage payments when buying or selling products & services. As a global business, the software you develop and test for Mastercard will deliver software operating at-scale, requiring focus on performance, security, and reliability.

You will work in our Mastercard tech hub in Pune, India that provides a state-of-the-art environment for technology teams to thrive in a collaborative Agile engineering culture. You will be a key part of how Mastercard transforms the B2B space to standardize, automate, and optimize digital payment efficiency for Buyers and Sellers.

Role:
- Provide leadership to Quality Engineering organization for this productline
•\tBe a leading contributor to the team to plan, design and develop microservice-based solutions.
•\tCreate and execute test plans and cases that your team uses to verify that working software matches acceptance criteria for user stories.
•\tBuild automated tests using modern client and server-side frameworks & tools.
•\tDeliver software with exceptional quality and security that operates at scale.
•\tPerform & participate in code reviews, retrospectives, and review Pull Requests using Git.
•\tCollaborate with software engineers, test engineers and product owners.
•\tCoordinate with DevOps engineers on the use and automation of the build pipeline.
•\tTrack quality metrics and focus on continuous improvement practices
•\tProvide technical leadership to test engineers.
•\tEnsure that you test for 12-factor app design principles.
•\tEnsure that systems you test comply with Mastercard best practices and governance models including security, operations, and Enterprise Architecture requirements.

All About You:
•\tYou have a solid foundation in Computer Science fundamentals, web applications, and familiarity with microservices-based software architecture.
•\tYou have demonstrated experience working in a cross-functional, Agile software development practice.
•\tYou have a deep understanding of web technologies including HTML5, CSS, Javascript, and front-end frameworks such as Angular.
•\tYou have experience testing applications using Java and PCF.
•\tYou have experience testing apps using storage technologies such as PostgreSQL or Oracle and delivering solutions that leverage them at massive scale.
•\tYou have deep experience with automated testing and tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, Insomnia, Pact, WireMock, and REST-assured.
•\tYou have experience successfully releasing software in a continuous delivery model using Git.
•\tYou enjoy working in an Agile team focused on continuous improvement.
•\tYou have a strong desire to deepen your knowledge, collaborate within a team, and mentor junior test engineers.
•\tYou are passionate about the art of delivering the highest quality software to customers and doing the right thing.
•\tYou have excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical people.
