Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key AccountabilitiesExperienced at setting up and managing projects using at least three of the following: Kubernetes (GKE), Service Meshes (Istio), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Linux, Redis, CI/CD Pipelines, High-Availability design, Service Discovery, and PrometheusAble to work fast and reliably under pressureA strong critical thinker who identifies problems before they happenDriven to improve current systems and implement new solutions with a fast-paced, mission-driven teamDetermine root-cause for all production level incidents and write corresponding high-quality RCA reportsApply software engineering principles to fix operational problemsBe responsible for availability, latency, performance, efficiency, security best-practices, change/configuration management, monitoring, emergency response, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and tooling/automation of our infrastructure and deployment workflowsDesign and maintain production monitoring systemsTroubleshoot performance and stability issues using a wide variety of toolsEvaluate and manage application and environment securitySupport and maintain globally distributed, multi-cloud (public and/or private) environmentsAutomate common, repeatable tasks at large scale to streamline operational proceduresFollow change management processes during implementationsUse and maintain version control for application infrastructurePromote the DevOps/SRE mindset

This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $112,000.00.
