Allied Universal Technology Services® is hiring a Service Technician to drive our mission of being the world's most trusted service provider. The technician will perform service, maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on access control systems and IP-based video equipment, including electrified/non-electrified locks, card readers, IP/analog cameras, intercoms, video recorders, and wired/wireless systems.

WHAT TO EXPECT AS A COMMERCIAL SECURITY INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN III:

Assist the Project Manager regarding on-site scheduling of work activities and timely delivery of equipmentResponsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment, and security software installationInstall, program and configure commercial electronic security systems for enterprise commercial clients (door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, ect.)Troubleshoot new installations to ensure the systems are functioning properly and satisfy codesDemonstrate Allied Universal’s core values as a highly skilled leader on the Installation TeamSupervise several teams comprised of Security Installation Technician I’s and II’sManage several medium- to large-sized jobs simultaneously, doing so within approved hours and margin tolerancesDrive to client sites with a company-issued vehicle to perform the system installation and confirm the system is operating effectively and meets contract requirementsInstallation of electrical wiring, panels, cables, and security devicesCompletes miscellaneous tasks as assigned by manager

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVES):

High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of three (3) years of field experience in the electronic security industryAbility to be on-call on a rotational basisOvernight travel may be required on an as-need basisMust possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a company issued vehiclePossession of state specific licensing or ability to obtain and hold license once hiredAbility to work with a variety of hand and power toolsCapable of lifting up to 50lbs and work on various ladder heightsStrong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitudeAbility to meet deadlines and work in a fast-based environment with minimum directionGood communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external customersMust be detail-oriented and organizedAbility to complete time entry from home on a daily basis via the InternetAbility to deliver product familiarization training to end-usersStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Project)Ability and track record of successfully loading servers with third-party applications and deploying IP video solutionsPossess general working knowledge of network architecture

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

Manufacture certifications in electronic security systems: Lenel, S2, Genetec, Software House, CCURE, Brivo, Milestone, Avigilon, Axis, AMAG, DMP, Bosch, Edwards (EST), Simplex, Firelite, NotifierNICET certification
