Lead Rug Product Handling Specialist– The Dump Luxe

Position Summary
The Lead Rug Product Handling Specialist is responsible for overseeing all aspects of rug operations, including merchandise handling, stocking, inventory management, and customer support in both the warehouse and showroom. This role provides leadership in assigning tasks, supporting sales communication, and ensuring a safe, organized, and visually appealing rug department.

Key Responsibilities

Meetings & Communication: Participate in scheduled conference calls and in-store sales meetings. Assist the Rug Merchandiser in communicating current sales events.

Replenishment Management: Obtain and process pull lists to replenish stock efficiently.

Sales Verification: Audit sold items to confirm full payment and ensure condition notes are accurate before removing merchandise from the floor.

Shipment Receiving: Accurately receive, verify, and document new shipments. Refuse damaged goods and record discrepancies on the bill of lading.

Product Handling: Safely move and place rugs to preserve product quality.

Product Flow: Coordinate the movement of rugs and related merchandise between the showroom and warehouse.

Department Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing rug department.

Inventory Management: Tag, label, and position rugs and pads in accordance with buying office directives.

Safety Standards: Ensure a safe environment by keeping aisles and walkways free of hazards such as rugs, clips, and debris.

Product Organization: Classify rugs by size, type, design (Traditional, Transitional, Contemporary), and price point for efficient display and accessibility.

Policy Compliance: Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook. 

Other Duties: Perform additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by management.
