We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Leader to drive new technology introduction projects in the field of automation and robotics. The ideal candidate will lead the development of innovative solutions from feasibility studies (TRL 3) to field demonstration (TRL 6), working in a dynamic and cross-functional environment.
As a Virtual Reality Engineer you will be responsible for:
Leading research and development projects for new technologies, from concept to field validation.Acting as Systems Engineer, coordinating cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, sourcing) throughout all project phases.Managing program execution, including planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and business case development.Conducting HSE (Health, Safety & Environmental) assessments during testing, production, and industrialization phases.Collaborating with manufacturing, engineering, and sourcing teams to identify process improvement opportunities and scout new suppliers.Defining the long-term automation and robotics roadmap with a 10-year strategic horizon.Communicating key achievements and project milestones to senior leadership.Serving as a reference point for advanced manufacturing technologies across the organization.Fostering collaboration with universities and research centers for low TRL research, managing both technical and project execution aspects.Performing technology scouting and build a strategic supplier network for future initiatives.Drafting detailed technical specifications, align vendors on requirements, and lead technical and economic evaluations.Overseeing the execution of industrialized solutions, including design reviews, site acceptance tests (SAT), and final acceptance tests (FAT).Manage lab equipment, including scheduled maintenance and procurement of new tools and instrumentsRequired Qualifications:
Have a Master Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechatronics, Automation, Electronics, or related fields).Possess previous and proven experience in technical leading roles within automation and robotics.Have strong skills in project management, systems engineering, and supplier coordination.Be an excellent communicator and leaderHave a solid understanding of HSE standards and lab operations.Work in a way that works for you.
