Job Description

The Regeneration Operator Shift Lead provides direction and assistance to the Regeneration Operators on-shift to meet assigned objectives, production schedules, and customer demands. In this role, you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. As a Regeneration Operator Shift Lead you will have the added task of being a role model and training other Regeneration Operators to prepare resin, mobile equipment and ion exchange resin tanks for customer fulfillment.

Duties & Responsibilities 

Receives resin from customer sites in resin tanks or on mobile equipment. Empties tanks or equipment of the exhausted media and prepares it for regenerationRegenerates ion exchange resins and media with acids, bases and other chemicalsPerforms quality control checks on the equipment to ensure specifications are met. Tests may include pH, specific ions, resistivity, and TDSRepairs and helps maintain the bottles/tanks and other service type of equipment, which could include minor valve/PVC repairs, painting, and refurbishing as requiredPrepares resin tanks or mobile equipment by filling empty tanks with regenerated mediaSeparates ion exchange resins as requiredOther duties as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

At least 2 years of experience in comparable manufacturing environment involving chemical handling, or at least 2 years of experience in plumbing, pump or mechanical repairAbility to apply to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram formThis is a physical job where you will need to perform frequent lifting and bending motions, use hand tools and manually manipulate products/equipmentPrior experience with resin tanks and mobile equipmentAbility and willingness to complete occasional site assignments for customer troubleshooting, operation and installationAbility and willingness to perform physical duties such as lifting, climbing, working at elevated heights, and manual dexterityAbility and willingness to work in range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilitiesAbility and willingness to travel for install and repair if needed

Required:

HS Diploma, GED or equivalentPossess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record history

Preferred:

HS Chemistry knowledgePrior leadership experience and training
