As a Lead Quality Engineer SDET, you will bring your technical skills to a hospitality company with an award-winning culture. On the Quality Engineering team reporting to the Director of Quality Engineering, you will support assigned projects including:

Work within an Agile team alongside UI developers analyzing the application architecture and delivering quality automation via Unit, Component, Cross Browser, Visual Regression, and End-to-end testsWork with Git, Nx, Next, React, Tailwind, Vitest, Cypress or Playwright, and GraphQLInfluence the inclusion of testability during development phasesParticipate in code reviews

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What your day-to-day will be like:

Evaluate automation strategies to identify areas for improvement and increase testing efficiencyBe the critical link between software development engineers and quality engineering by combining coding expertise with testing strategiesEnsure compliance of quality processes and standardsInfluence testability during development phasesParticipate in Agile ceremonies, and functioning processes and testing of productsDesign and write automated scripts that run tests on new and/or existing software/ apps in an Agile environment

How you will collaborate with others:

Work multi-functionally to help discover and eliminate issues through testing end-user workflowsCollaborate with Software Engineers to achieve expected quality levels in productsCollaborate with UI Software Engineers in projects by advising and implementing quality automation standardsMentor and lead others as assigned

What deliverables you will take ownership of:

Assigned AutomationCompliance of quality processes and standardsAssist with automation guidelines, processes, and tools selection

You have these minimum qualifications:

Five (5) years of professional work experience in Technology or related fieldTwo (2) years of experience in web application testingDirect experience with Javascript or TypescriptDirect experience in the Cypress or Playwright testing frameworksThis is a hybrid role and would require to be near our Dallas or Memphis office locationTravel up to 5% as needed

It would be useful if you have:

Bachelor's Degree, or Associate's Degree plus six plus (6+) years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus twelve plus (12+) years of Technology related experienceSeven plus (7+) years of professional work experience in Technology or related fieldExposure to large-scale enterprise software products such as Atlassian
