Lead QA Analyst

Here’s what the opportunity supported through our TGS Talent Acquisition Team requires: The QA Lead is a QA and Software Testing professional fulfilling a quality improvement and testing function within the TEKsystems QMS Practice. This role is key in driving quality throughout the product development process by ensuring quality standards are met and leading, supporting and conducting testing activities. Delivery Focus: The QA Lead is responsible for ensuring the quality of an application using formal and exploratory test methods which include analyzing, designing, exploring, developing, and executing positive/negative tests to ensure adequate test coverage. The QA Lead is expected to operate with minimum supervision and manage their daily activities. They are to have a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives. An excellent communicator, they are able to identify and raise potential problems, omissions, quality risks, and feel comfortable escalating problems in a timely manner and manage them to closure. They are self-motivated, excel when challenged, and take initiative to raise the quality bar and showcase the ability to mentor junior resources and provide guidance. Practice Focus: The QA Lead will contribute to TEK QA Practice IP development while providing thought leadership and awareness of emerging QA trends. Essential Functions: • Provide thought leadership and critical problem solving to the project team. • Apply QA and Testing processes and best practices to projects. • Develop test strategies and test plans. • Ensure all levels of testing are performed with the right approach and adequate coverage. • Analyze requirements and create/update manual test cases. • Review quality of all QA project deliverables, including test case peer reviews. • Participate in requirement review meetings and provide feedback. • Perform front-end and back-end analysis of applications. • Assist in setting up the QA test environment including the creation or acquisition of test data. • Test software applications based on defined requirements. • Use SQL queries skills to perform data verification. • Use tools to facilitate testing. • Log found defects, anomalies and issues into defect tracking systems and assist with root cause analysis, identification and resolution. • Propose and implement solutions to quality-related process issues within the assigned project. • Report test results and status to the team. • Provide project onboarding, mentoring/coaching and performance management for appropriate team members. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $95800.00 - $143800.00/yr. We reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification.
