**About this role:**
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer.
**In this role, you will:**
+ Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
+ Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
+ Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
+ Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
+ Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
+ Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
+ Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
**Required Qualifications:**
+ 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
**Desired Qualifications:**
+ 5+ years in strong engineering skills.
+ Expertise in **Python, PySpark,** and **Object-oriented programming** .
+ Strong experience in designing and building **Rest APIs** using python (Django Rest Framework is added advantage).
+ Excellent experience with **AirFlow** DAGs, workflow orchestration
+ Experience with **Multiprocessing, Multithreading, asynchronous modules and building asynchronous APIs** .
+ Good experience with **Kubernetes to build open shift container platform** .
+ Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills
+ Collaborate strongly with business teams to understand the business problems and provide technical solutions
+ Design and build reusable solutions in data work stream of model development life cycle.
+ Strong in data science python libraries like **Pandas** , **NumPy,** **Pyarrow, SciPy** .
+ Solid understanding of distributed computing and GCP
+ Good skills in PySpark, Object storage and distributed computing.
+ Good banking domain skills and depth knowledge in risk domain.
+ Good understanding of data models, relationship among the data.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Experience in source control using GitHub.
+ Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
+ Should possess excellent communication skills, able to multitask and have a great team spirit.
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering (CS/Math/Electronics/Electricals) from top universities like IIT, NIT and other reputed institutes.
+ Should be able to take ownership and accountability.
+ Should have good leadership skills to collaborate and add value at enterprise solution.
**Job Expectations:**
+ Agile/Scrum software development methodologies and processes
+ Understanding of Python code automatic deployment process ( GitHub actions, Harness )
+ Good end to end understanding of platform build and maintenance
+ Understanding the python-based IDEs like pycharm, Visual studio code and Jupyter notebook etc
+ Good understanding of Kafka and RabbitMQ
+ Understanding GenAI use cases, identify and automate them in the project.
+ Risk models understanding and rewrite them effectively using Python technology
+ Lead discussion with business, architect team, and other partners to understand the business problems and provide technical solution
+ Quickly assess different tools and present the right tools for the business use cases pros and cons.
+ Design and develop the technical solution using Python, PySpark, Openshift container platform (OCP), GCP CICD pipelines, GITHUB etc
+ Design and maintain operational databases for a application metadata, airflow metadata, iceberg catalog metadata
+ Own and led complex and critical modules in data exchange ( Ingress and Egress)
+ Strong experience using the development ecosystem of applications (JIRA, ALM, GitHub, uDeploy(Urban Code Deploy), Jenkins, Artifactory, SVN, etc…)
