Lead Project Manager

Grade 9

 

This highly visible role will report to the Director of the Strategic Initiatives PMO that has oversight of far-reaching, company-wide programs.   The successful candidate will work with the senior leadership of the Canadian organization, collaborating and consulting with ADP Program Teams to manage enterprise initiatives throughout discovery, execution and closure.  More immediately, they will focus on launching next generation technologies, leading the governance frameworks, steering committees and stakeholder alignment.  They’ll drive the adoption of organizational change through communication and training, sustain it through their partnership with executives and HR, and amplify the team’s progress to support organizational wide awareness.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Leads large initiatives that impact the business across functions. Requires the ability to influence others in a matrixed environment versus direct leadership. Orchestrates workstreams across project managers and committees to support technology modernization and organizational change. Leads pre-planning activities: defining structure, phasing and governance, stakeholder impacts, data implications and drives business casing in support of strat plan costing by year. Integrates the outputs from Product and Technology groups into the planning phase, defines the overall change plan, and facilitates executive steering committees to drive decisions around priorities and pace. Executes the Program Management methodology from inception to completion, maximizing the stakeholder relationships at all levels and providing a unified experience. Identifies and mitigate areas of interference within and outside the program based on available resources. Delivers comprehensive reporting of programs on a monthly and on-demand basis, partnering with stakeholders in Finance and the business to provide feedback on P&L impacts. Shepherds programs with an eye to effective change management: ensuring program success includes post-launch adoption and adherence. Gains commitment, alignment and engagement from all Program Team Members and adherence to program management standards. Influences and manages the collective performance of a Program Team that may span multiple business units and adheres to program management standards of overall Implementation methodology, tools and processes. Collaborates and maintains program control within a highly virtual and matrix-managed environment by expertly overseeing development, communication and execution of all program goals. Manages relationships and acts as single point of contact and escalation for all key program stakeholders. Maintains the Program Team's focus on exceeding stakeholder expectations. Proactively contacts stakeholders during the process to assess satisfaction and the team's ability to deliver a comprehensive solution. Monitors quality and productivity using established metrics. Develops professional relationships with ADP associates from other business units and leverages those relationships to ensure a quality program experience. Establishes action plans to monitor progress against set goals and addresses gaps accordingly.

Experience:

Minimum 10 years of project management and full program delivery: people, process, systems, change. Success in Program Management experience is preferred. Ability to effectively communicate through all mediums (verbal, listening, written), including with C-level executives. Proven ability to effectively lead a team. Knowledge of functional areas, plus in-depth knowledge of related company products is a nice to have. Demonstrate program leadership skills.  Experience in program, portfolio management Experience in change management

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, related field or equivalent education and experience required. Professional certifications (PMP).  PgMP is an asset

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. The compensation for this role is CAD $119,500.00 - CAD $169,500.00 / Year*
